Police were spotted guarding a restaurant on a busy road in Leeds this afternoon.
West Yorkshire police were spotted near Chefs Restaurant & Takeaway, in Chapel Allerton.
It was not clear at first why they were there, but witnesses say the officers were there when they arrived for work around 8 a.m. this morning (Saturday).

The forces then confirmed that they were investigating crimes with firearms. Two police officers were pictured standing in front of the home hall, and a police van was also parked in a jinel next to it.
A woman who works nearby said Leeds live: “They were here at 8.30 in the morning, we haven’t heard anything, none of us know what they are there for. There is nothing strange, it seems as usual, we have no idea. “
