Two fires that broke out in Surrey yesterday (April 23rd) in Ash Range and Dolleys Hill Park continue today, confirmed the Surrey Fire and Rescue Service. Both incidents took place in Pearbright.
The fire department tweeted at 1:37 p.m. yesterday: “We are currently witnessing an open fire near Henley Park in #Pirbright after we received our initial call at 11:28 a.m. We have 12 fire and rescue vehicles there, including specialized units. .
“Please avoid the area and those nearby should close windows and doors.”

A second tweet from the fire department yesterday at 4:49 p.m. read: “A second fire broke out near the one in Henley Park in #Pirbright. This one has nine fire and rescue vehicles and is located in Dolis Hill Park, Pearbright Road. Nearby houses should also close windows and doors. “
It is not yet clear if there were any victims of the fire in the village, which is located in the Guilford neighborhood. SurreyLive contacted emergency services, including a police ambulance and fire department, for more information.
Dramatic photos and videos show smoke rising in the air over the countryside as a result of the fires. It is unclear how they started.
