Liverpool have been linked with the relocation of Monaco midfielder Aurelien Chuameni, with a Merseyside journalist fueling speculation.
The Reds first received interest in Chuameni in January, with David Ornstein of The Athletic pointing to the 22-year-old as a possible addition.
This comes before the summer in which James Milner has to leave the club after seven years, as the veteran’s contract expires, while decisions will be made on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Nabi Keita.
Liverpool are likely to have to sign at least one midfielder in the next transfer window, although Fabio Carvalho is now ready to arrive from Fulham.
Chuameni was again advertised with the move to Merseyside on Tuesday, with the French exit Foot Mercato saying that contact had been made with the player’s representatives.
It is even suggested that although Real Madrid are considered favorites, Liverpool and PSG have an advantage over the Spanish side.
Lots of things around for Liverpool and Aurelien Chuameni. Undoubtedly, he is a player they watch, but also other clubs in the frame, especially Real Madrid, which is a favorite. However, Liverpool is definitely looking for a midfielder with his qualities.

The source is certainly questionable, but mailDominic King later responded with the news that “there is no doubt that he is a player [Liverpool] they are watching. ”
King explains that there are other clubs [the] frame “and describes Real as” favorites “, but insists that Liverpool” is certainly looking for a midfielder with his qualities. “
This should certainly be taken with a pinch of salt, as the club will undoubtedly monitor a player with the potential of Chuameni nonetheless.
But the fact that the king avoids denying a specific interest in the French national can be important.
As mentioned, the expected departure of Milner, along with the prospect of losing at least one of Oxlade-Chamberlain or Kate – who are in the final year of their contracts in July – opens the possibility of another signing.
The arrival of Carvalho, in a deal worth 7.7 million pounds, will strengthen the midfield options of Jurgen Klopp, which also include Fabinho, Tiago, Jordan Henderson, Harvey Elliott and Curtis Jones.
But it remains to be seen whether the 19-year-old will be used in the midfield at all, and his qualities may be better used in the front line.
Liverpool have high hopes for Tyler Morton, while Stefan Baycetic, James Balagizi, Melkamu Frauendorf and Isaac Mabaya could make claims in the future, but Chuameni is already an established midfielder of the highest class.
A versatile player skilled in physical battles and breaking lines, Chuameni is considered one of the best young midfielders in Europe.
His asking price is advertised as somewhere between 42 million and 83 million British pounds, and his current contract is until 2024.
