Diaz leaves again while Kate returns
Ian Doyle: Newcastle United for the early start on Saturday is never the friendliest place.
And if Liverpool will reduce the battle for the Premier League title until the last weekend, this could be the match that proves their biggest threat. What should Jürgen Klopp do then?
Less than 72 hours after the victory over Villarreal, there will be some changes. But maybe not as much as people think. At least that’s what I would do.

In goal, Alison Becker. A change in defense, where Joel Matip already has a regular rotation with Ibrahim Konate to partner Virgil van Dyke with the central defender. Joe Gomez and Costas Tsimikas have been waiting, but I still stick to Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson as full-backs.
The midfielder also sees only one switch. Fabinho and Thiago Alcantara remain, and Nabi Keita replaces Jordan Henderson.
And I do not change the front line, as Luis Diaz, Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah remain in place. Part of the reason is that their minutes were managed in the last matches, which are probably fresh for matches like this. However, Diogo Giotto and Divok Origi must be involved at some point.
My team (4-3-3): Alison; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dyke, Robertson; Fabinho, Tiago, Keita; Salah, Mane, Diaz.
Henderson takes on the role of Fabinho as Gomez enters
Theo Squires: Starting at 12.30 on Saturday, a thunderstorm in the middle of the Champions League semi-finals after the first match was played on Wednesday and the second match in Spain will follow on Tuesday? What a clever idea …
Liverpool have tried and failed to move to Newcastle United, so I would expect a few changes from Jurgen Klopp, as the Reds are forced to break down and continue to do so as they continue to fight for an unprecedented quadruple.
Two changes in defense, as Joe Gomez starts from the right back, with Trent Alexander-Arnold giving a break before again blocking the horns with Villarreal, while Joel Matip was called in place of Ibrahim Conate as central defender.
Virgil van Dyke and Andy Robertson, who are in incredible form at the moment, keep their seats despite the recent illness of Costas Tsimikas, which ensures that there is no rotation of the left back.
Nabi Keita gets a draw in the midfield, but this time he is not in the place of Jordan Henderson, as the captain of Liverpool is number six for this one. He is Mackem and will no doubt like the opportunity to beat Sunderland’s fiercest rivals.
Fabinho dropped out as a result, and the Brazilian also gave Villarreal a break. It’s a throw between him and Thiago Alcantara, whose legs are spared, but the Spaniard’s form is too good at the moment to miss.
Meanwhile, I am striving for an unchanged front three, with Luis Diaz retaining his place and Sadio Mane continuing in the middle. Diogo Jota is an option, but he’s just not as dangerous on the left or center as the duo in form at the moment.
My team (4-3-3): Alison; Gomez, Matip, Van Dyke, Robertson; Henderson, Keita, Tiago; Salah, Mane, Diaz.

Giotto starts with Gomez’s plan for Villarreal
Sean Bradbury: Eight possible games are all that hinder Liverpool and the quadruple fame.
And with play in each slot in the middle of the week until the end of the domestic season, managing the minutes will be a big part of the pressure.
However, the trip to Newcastle United is a must-win, given the state of the title race. Tuesday’s rematch with Villarreal probably offers a better chance of rotation, albeit in a measured way, as the tie has not yet been sealed.
This means that no real risks can be taken with the lineup for today.
Interestingly, Jurgen Klopp gave Joe Gomez another right-back cameo on Wednesday night. He may repeat this from the beginning in Spain, but Trent Alexander-Arnold goes here again. Virgil van Dyke and Andy Robertson do the same, but Joel Matip returns to the band.
In the midfield, Nabi Keita starts with Tiago and Fabinho.
Sadio Mane retains his place in the center of the attack, as Diogo Jota and Mohamed Salah surround him.
My team (4-3-3): Alison; Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dyke, Robertson; Fabinho, Keita, Tiago; Salah, Mane, Giotto.
Kate and Matip are back, Origi’s chance may come
Tom Cavilla: Saturday’s trip to St. James’s Park will be far from the usual voyage to Liverpool.
Eddie Howe’s team is currently in impressive form after winning each of their previous four Premier League games and has developed a newfound confidence to reach the top half of the table. But Jurgen Klopp’s team continues to find a way to top, despite the opposition.
The obvious temptation for this match may be to relax a number of stars of the first team with Villarreal on the horizon, but the same was said before the derby in Merseyside last weekend. Klopp may choose not to make a number of changes again, as he strives to keep up with his players.
Two changes are all I would do from Wednesday’s win over Villarreal, with Joel Matip replacing Ibrahim Konate and Nabi Keita replacing Jordan Henderson.
Such as Diogo Jota and Divok Origi could be called from the bench, and the latter wanted to celebrate once again at the Magpies’ home. Origi has scored on his last two trips to St James’ Park and may be at the heart of the bench difference this afternoon.
My team (4-3-3): Alison, Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Van Dyke, Robertson; Fabinho, Tiago, Keita; Salah, Mane, Diaz.
