Love Island’s Jacques O’Neill sensationally quit the show after his love rival Adam Collard’s arrival in the villa threatened his volatile romance with Paige Thorne.
A Love Island spokesperson told MailOnline: ‘Jacques has made the decision to leave the villa.
“He will explain his reasons to the islanders during tonight’s episode. We fully support his decision and look forward to seeing what’s next for Jacques.”

Jacques struggled to win back Paige’s heart after kissing Cheyenne Kerr at Casa Amor before deciding to stay with her original partner.
He had said he would quit the show if she didn’t forgive him, hinting that his attempts to win her over didn’t go as planned.
His family recently defended the backlash against him, saying he has ADHD, which means he struggles to control his emotions.

Making the announcement on social media, his family wrote in the caption: “Jacques was diagnosed with ADHD when he was 9 years old.
“This is by no means an exoneration from his actions, but it is to show that he can fundamentally struggle with his emotions at times.”

Jacque was left furious on Monday’s episode after learning that new bombshell Adam Collard had been “beating” him behind his back.
In a dramatic episode, J Younger and Chyna Mills were kicked out of the villa by their housemates before Adam returned to Love Island after previously ruffling feathers during his stint on the show in 2018.
Jac was seen going on a chat with Paige Thorne after Gemma Owen told him: ‘He [Adam] it is right to kill you.

During Monday’s episode, Adam walked into the villa while the boys were on a spa day and immediately called Paige to find out how her relationship with Jacques is at the moment.
Paige admires Adam’s physique, telling him he’s the tallest person in the cottage, before declaring at the Beach Hut: “He’s so fit. No, I’m not going to lie, he’s very healthy.
By the pool, Adam told her he was suitable for a boyfriend, explaining: “When I’m with someone, I’m 100% with them, I’ve never cheated on ex-girlfriends or anything like that.
“Coming off the back of that, everybody’s going to get a lot of attention and I’ve been there and done that. I don’t need to get this out of my system like some guys do. I feel like some of the guys here are going to want that.

Adam asked, “What do you think Jacques will be as you and I speak?”
Paige: “I don’t think he’ll like it. I think he will be scared.
After her conversation with Adam, Paige went to Gemma and Ekin-Su Küljuloglu to ask what they thought about her getting to know him.
Gemma, who dated Jacques before Love Island, encouraged her to get to know Adam and not feel bad about it, given Jacques’ infidelities during Casa Amor.
Gemma said: “You should get more into it. You will be beyond stupid [if you didn’t]. Please, please, please don’t think about Jacques, think only about yourself. He didn’t think of you at the Casa and I’m sorry, karma sucks.
Meanwhile, Jacques and Paige had shared their relief that the public had voted to keep them safe, and he was beginning to open up to her.
Jacques told Paige that he had a thing for her. He said, “I have something to tell you.
“I was in bed last night and I thought I wanted to tell you because sometimes I get embarrassed when we talk, so I just thought if I let it go for you, you might be able to listen.”
Jacques then pulled out his phone and read his heartfelt message to Paige, explaining how he really felt.

In his letter, Jacques says, “From the first moment I saw you. I thought you were beautiful. I have never been so excited to bring a girl home to meet my mom.
“We were going from strength to strength before I screwed up. If I could change it, I really would. Since then I’ve been kicking myself for it and I never want to hurt you again…
“Honestly, I don’t want anyone but you, and I’m willing to stay until you tell me otherwise. My time wouldn’t be the same without you… I just hope we’re on the same page.”
The letter seemed to have won over Paige as they shared a kiss and she invited him back into her bed, telling the girls that he was “out of the dog house”.
