A man died after an accident with two trucks on the M5 highway earlier today (Friday, April 28). A second driver was taken to hospital for injuries not considered life-threatening, police said.
Avon and Somerset Constabulary issued a statement tonight confirming the death and asking to witness the clash, which occurred around 1:30 p.m. Serious delays remain on the M5, A38 and A370 after the crash.
A full police statement said: “The M5, heading north between junctions 22 for Burnham-on-Sea and 21 for Weston-super-Mare, is expected to reopen shortly after a collision between two heavy vehicles that occurred. around 1:15 p.m. today (Friday, April 29). ).
