Boston police say “many” people have been trapped after the floor collapsed.

The Boston EMS said that at 3:35 pm two people were taken to the hospital and a third person was taken care of on the spot, and that the teams were working to “remove” this worker.

This state of emergency is happening at 776 Summer Street in South Boston on the waterfront.

776 Summer Street is the site of the former L Street Station, which was a coal-fired power plant that operated for more than a century from 1898 until its decommissioning in 2006.
