Mom dies in cold water therapy camp, loved by Colleen Rooney and Stephen Graham

A woman has died after undergoing cold water therapy at a camp popular with celebrities including Colleen Rooney and Stephen Graham.

An unnamed 39-year-old boy was pulled from the water at Breatheolution in Buxworth, Derbyshire, on Monday (April 25th). The mother from Manchester reportedly acclimatized to the cold water in the Goethe River during a two-hour session with friends.

Derbyshire police said in a statement: “Several officers were present. Paramedics took the 39-year-old woman to hospital, but she was later pronounced dead. There are no suspicious circumstances and we are preparing a file for the investigator. “

Colleen Rooney, who was there last October, and actor Stephen Graham, who was there only weeks ago, had previously attended the cold water therapy. Therapist Kevin O’Neill runs the camp and charges up to £ 200 per person for the experience.

Posting to @breatheolution’s Instagram page on April 18 about Stephen Graham’s visit, Kevin O’Neill said: “Many thanks to Stephen Graham, Alfie Graham and Pete for going to what was such a fun session. the river with the boys is what it felt like, but with some serious Buteyko breathing exercises and discussions about the origins of anxiety and more. “

He added: “We talked in depth about the importance of where your head is and your breathing as you breathe and immerse yourself in cold water, there is real noise now, but most miss the point and breathe in fear and then miss this vital and physical resilience. Heavy mouth breathing is not for everyone! “

The mother of three is believed to have fainted before Mr O’Neill, who did the CPR, helped her out of the river. An air ambulance landed in the camp, but the woman later died in hospital.
