An enraged landlady believes her driveway was being used by airport fraudsters after a mysterious car was parked in front of her home for five days.
Debbie Flynn and her partner Leon found the silver Vauxhall Mokka in front of her garage, which is very close to Birmingham International Airport.
The mother was dissatisfied with the incident and called the police, who confirmed that the car had not been stolen.
However, the police also confirmed that the couple is powerless to move the offending car, as this is a civil matter, Mirror Online reports.
Debbie’s house is only five miles from the airport, and she believes her driveway was sold to a vacationer through a fraudulent parking app.

Debbie told Birmingham Live: “It’s like the car just fell from the sky. This is a complete mystery.
“We don’t understand how or why this happened, but since the owner hasn’t been back for a week, we suspect it’s due to someone selling a seat in my car near the airport.”
She continued: “We went to bed around 10.30pm on Tuesday night and when my partner woke up the next morning, he was parked in our car.
“The insolent bastards opened my gate, parked it and closed the gates after leaving it on the grass.

“The policeman who came to see us said he had never seen anything like it in all his years. I get angry because there is no law to stop someone from parking on your device.
“It’s perfectly legal, so the police can’t help it. But if we tried to move it and damage it, then we would be committing a crime. Now children can’t even play outside if they kick a ball or something and accidentally damage it.
Since the alley is part of a property, anyone who parks on it is technically considered a violation.
This is a civil crime, not a crime, explained John Charnock from stress-free car rental.
He also said that if a car has current maintenance, taxes, insurance and is not in a situation where it could endanger everyone around, the council is also powerless to move it.
Debbie posted an appeal on Facebook, but no one responded.
She has chained the tire, so if and when the driver returns, they will have to knock on her door and explain why they parked there.
Debbie added: “Police said there were parking apps used by fraudsters who advertised the disks of unsuspecting people as parking spaces and charged a fee to car owners. I want answers – when, how, why and to whom did you pay?

“We just have to sit back and wait for the owners to come back. This is an absolute joke.
“I’m angry and disgusted that every Tom, Dick and Harry can park on your drive and there’s nothing you can do about it.
