Neighbors left in horror after reports of “shots” saw armed police roaming the streets

Frightened residents on a street in Teeside said they heard a shot before police stormed their street.

Neighbors on Shetland Avenue Tornaby were stunned Monday afternoon when gunmen arrived on the street.

The drama erupted around 3:10 p.m., and one of the houses on the street already has planks on the door and window downstairs and traces of broken glass. The upstairs window in front of the house also looked broken.

A shocked neighbor said: “Someone said the house was shot down and the next thing we found out was that the street was crowded with armed police, they all arrived within five minutes, but never used sirens – or not, as we heard. . “

Another frightened host said, “I don’t know what happened, but it was scary, the police had guns and they were everywhere.”

Someone added: “I just left the house around 3:10 pm and the street was full of armed police.”

For the rest of the afternoon, police conducted door-to-door searches in the area.

Teesside Live has contacted Cleveland police but will give details of the incident.
