New York Governor Katie Hochul gives a positive test for COVID-19

Governor Katie Hochul revealed on Sunday that she had a coronavirus.

“Today I tested positive for COVID-19. Fortunately, I have been vaccinated and strengthened and I am asymptomatic, “the governor wrote on Twitter on Sunday. “I will isolate myself and work remotely this week.

Hochul, 63, called on Empire State residents to get vaccinated and isolate themselves if they develop symptoms of COVID-19.

“A reminder to all New Yorkers: get vaccinated and strengthened, get tested and stay home if you’re not feeling well,” she said.

Hochul’s positive test makes her the last New York politician to face the virus.
