Newcastle United 0-1 Liverpool: Premier League – live! | Premier League

Klopp waved to fans of the guests, who must look like points high in St. James Park. Have a nice day for them.

I’m not sure Alison had to make a meaningful rescue, where Newcastle failed today.

End time: Newcastle 0-1 Liverpool

As the cliché “winning matches when you’re not the best is a sign of champions” reads, Liverpool will hopefully be true. They almost did enough to take control of Newcastle today thanks to Kate’s good work. They are on top of the table for at least a few hours.

90 + 2 minutes: Chevli flies into Fabinho, but the referee waits a few seconds before giving a free kick, although the foul was quite clear.

90 minutes: Salah out sprints Target to reach a pass in the area, but he loses the ball at the decisive moment and Dubravka collects.

Four minutes have been added.

88 minutes: Alison is forced to save after Guimaraes shoots low from 20 yards, but the Brazilian stands completely behind him.

86 minutes: Thiago fell after Wood hit him in the back. At least it works.

“I think Alain Saint-Maximin may be … rubbish?” Says Peter Crosby. “It seems to be spinning like a cheap rolled-up toy. Think? “

It wasn’t his day, but he’s certainly a good player.

84 minutes: Diaz receives a pass in the area, he gives Kraft a pass and shoots from a narrow angle. Lascelles takes possession of the ball after a miscued clearance by the defense and capitalized fully on the mistake to make it 1-0.

Murphy for Craft.

81 minutes: Newcastle still has Murphy and Gale on the bench. They can lead to one in the hope of changing the outcome.

79 minutes: Thiago enters for Milner.

Jota collects a loose ball on the right flank before cutting and striking with his left foot to the top corner, but Dubravka catches up with her.

77 minutes: Saint-Maximin puts a ball to Wood, who rushes to the pass and strikes to stop Alison, but then the flag is still raised.

75 minutes: Shelvey raises a pass over the top for Saint-Maximin; Matip calls for the flag to be raised while the winger has poor control of the ball on his biceps. However, the danger subsided and Liverpool eventually cleared up.

73 min: Diaz kills Salah with a cross, the Egyptian kills him and twists a blow to the top corner, but he goes straight to Dubravka.

The goalkeeper was called once again in action soon after, when Iota grabbed a pass from above, but his furious shot was once against the right in Dubravka.

71 minutes: Diaz receives a pass on the left flank, he cuts and rips, but his shot is deflected and almost ends with Salah on the back post, but Target does extremely well to kill the ball in the air before Dubravka claims.

69 minutes: Mane collided in Dubravka after a corner and received a yellow card for his high challenge. He is immediately replaced by Salah, while Fabinho replaces Henderson.

67 minutes: It’s time for Chris Wood. He comes instead of Wilcox.

65 minutes: Shelvey shoots a free kick from deep into the penalty area. Byrne reaches for it and raises the ball with his head in the air, but the flag is immediately raised.

63 minutes: Gomez goes down to the right and pulls him back for Manet, who shoots sideways for the first time.

61 minutes: Schar was substituted by Lascelles. The defender is lame, probably due to Milner’s challenge in the lead.

59 min: Newcastle, according to statistics, dominated the possession in the second half. Now they just have to make it count.

Milner lifts the ball from above to chase Iota, but Dubravka comes out to kill the ball. He falls at Robertson’s feet, but his shot is straight at the goalkeeper.

57 minutes: Newcastle does a good job on the right flank, but there is no one to pass. Maybe it’s time for Chris Wood …

55 minutes: Shelvey takes a free kick from about 25 yards, but hits it into the wall. Milner remains on the floor after deflecting the ball and the referee explodes.

53 minutes: Saint-Maximin sniffs the ball after a pass from Guimaraes, but his first touch is bad, allowing Matip to enter, forcing the wing to foul the Liverpool defender.

51 minutes: Giotto runs into space in the halftime of Newcastle, then puts the ball in the path of Diaz in the area, but his shot is deflected behind his back for a corner. The resulting corner reaches Kate on the edge of the penalty area, but his vicious shot is blocked.

Newcastle began an attack that ended when Wilcox was dragged by Gomez, earning the final defender a yellow card.

49 min: Almiron hit a dangerous cross from the right, but Matip read it and cleared his head. An early sign of intent from Newcastle.

47 minutes: Wilcox tries to escape the defense, but his thigh meets Kate’s thigh, leaving the Newcastle man on deck.

The second half

We’re starting again!

“I’m not saying Holgate’s was an absolutely red card,” says Leon, “but his follow-up is HIGH from the ground, with his spikes driving into the man’s thigh!”

“Shar actually gets hurt because as he goes to the ball, Milner gets there first and Shar’s leg bumps into Milner. In fact, it can be said that he fouled Milner!

“Milner usually gets a reservation when he starts,” says Kevin McManus. “I’m not sure if it’s because he’s older and slower now or just because he still likes to hack opponents?”

“Sometimes it’s definitely a foul of an old professional because someone gets out of it and he wants to stop the detachment. But I’m sure in many cases this is because he loves the simple old-fashioned joy of giving someone a healthy blow, followed by the brilliant call “I’ve never touched a reference.”

“Whatever it is, it’s always been great for us and I love watching it.”

I would argue that Schar fouled Milner on this, but I accept that the general refereeing when it comes to “tracking” is inconsistent.

Mason Holgate was sent off earlier this season for contact after a breakthrough that was thought to threaten an opponent with excessive strength @Will_Unwin.

Of course, he did not take part in the story about the fight for titles …

I can’t wait for a long half-time conversation about Schar’s Milner challenge. It wasn’t a foul or very close, so we can all relax.

Half time: Newcastle 0-1 Liverpool

After a quick start from Newcastle, Liverpool controlled the game. The opening – a good finale for Kate – was well deserved for the guests. Newcastle must speed things up again in the hopes of disrupting Liverpool.

45 minutes: Added two minutes.

43 minutes: Giotto receives one or two blows to the chest from Joelinton after questioning his careful attention to Diaz. Marriner books both for some reason.

41 minutes: Henderson hits a cross from deep to attack Iota, he tests the neck muscles to move his head to the left to make contact, only to watch Dubravka dive to the right to roll over.

39 mins: Almiron receives a pass from Guimaraes through the defense, then goes around the goalkeeper and puts the ball in the net, but the flag in ambush is set very late.

38 minutes: It seems that Liverpool’s second goal at the moment is much more likely than an equalizer – they are much at the top.

Guimaraes crosses Manet to take him down roughly 25 yards from the target. Henderson pings the resulting free kick quite widely.

35 minutes: Liverpool pauses against Newcastle after Diaz receives a pass from behind Keita, the winger drives to the penalty area before releasing the ball in Manet’s way, but his side kick right inside the zone is well saved by Dubravka.

Newcastle doesn’t seem to be able to keep up its fierce early pace. The pace definitely slowed down after the goal. Maybe lure Liverpool into a false sense of security …

33 minutes: It gives us all something to look forward to on Monday.

31 minutes: Newcastle enjoys a long possession, but it’s basically about halfway. As they tried to play forward, Matip intercepted Targett’s pass.

29 minutes: Matip’s header hits Saint-Maximin’s feet 25 yards from the goal. Newcastle’s winger pushes the ball off his feet and shoots out of balance.
