According to the representatives of the former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, he punched another first class passenger on board the plane to Florida because the “aggressive” man threw a bottle of water at him.
Tyson was filmed video of a man hitting a man on a JetBlue flight Wednesday night from San Francisco to Miami, where he later appeared at a post-party conference.
Prior to the crash, the apparent harassment was seen in a video posted by TMZ standing over Tyson’s seat, waving his arms and talking briskly as the former boxer sat quietly.
“Unfortunately, Mr Tyson had an accident during a flight with an aggressive passenger who started harassing him and threw a bottle of water at him while he was at his place,” Tyson said in a statement.
San Francisco police responded at about 10 p.m. to a “physical altercation” on a plane at the airport’s inner terminal, officials said.
“Officers arrived and detained two individuals believed to be involved in the incident. Medical assistance was provided on the spot for non-life-threatening injuries. “This entity provided minimal details about the incident and refused to cooperate further with the police investigation,” a police statement said.

Both have been released pending further investigation, police said.
The virus clip was shared with the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office, which has jurisdiction over the airport, police said.
Another passenger, Sarah Birchfield, said she saw the man at the airport bar before the flight, where he was noisy and quarrelsome.
“When I got on the flight, I thought, ‘Oh no, this drunk man is on our flight,’ Burchfield told SFGate.

She said that when she got on, she passed Tyson’s place in first grade.
“The warrior was sitting right behind him and I saw them interacting,” she said. A little later, she said she heard the confrontation.
Meanwhile, on Thursday night, “Iron Mike” was smiling at the afterparty of the Benzinga Cannabis Capital Conference Conference, where he appeared with wrestling legend Rick Flair at Fontainebleu Miami Beach.

Tyson was supposed to be the main spokesman for the event in the weed industry earlier, but had to cancel “due to a change of flight”, TMZ reported.
On Thursday night, he took the stage to promote his cannabis brand Tyson 2.0, which offers several types of cannabis flowers as well as edible ear-shaped products in connection with his famous 1996 match against Evander Holyfield, SFGate reported.
