Ontario COVID: Hospitalizations just over 1400

Ontario health officials reported 1,410 hospitalizations with COVID-19 on Sunday, along with 17 additional deaths.

Of these patients, 187 were treated in intensive care.

Officials warned that not all hospitals reported COVID-19 over the weekend.

The total number of people in Ontario who died after contracting COVID-19 in Ontario is now 12,842.

With just over 13,492 tests processed in the last 24 hours, the health ministry says the province’s positive results rate now stands at 14.7 percent.

Officials registered an additional 2,406 laboratory-confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Sunday, although with testing restrictions that number is considered an understatement.
