Pedestrian seriously injured in Kitchener roundabout crash

A pedestrian has been seriously injured after a collision at a busy roundabout in Kitchener.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at the roundabout at Homer Watson and Ottawa Street around 9.30pm on Friday.

Police say an SUV driver was headed through the Homer Watson Roundabout when he hit a crossing pedestrian.

The female pedestrian was taken to an out-of-town hospital with serious injuries, and the driver of the SUV was not injured.

The investigation continues.
