Police released surveillance footage of a suspect and an escape car in the shooting of a 36-year-old man in Scarborough on Saturday morning.
At 3:01 a.m. Saturday morning, police were called to a square on the corner of Shepard and Morningside Boulevards for firing signals.
Two men were shot.
Both were taken to hospital, where 36-year-old Peter Oscar Hahn was pronounced dead.
A second victim in her 20s was seriously injured but not in danger of death.
Police in riot gear stormed a rally on Saturday, removing hundreds of protesters by truck.
Investigators described the suspects as a black man, six feet tall, with a lean physique.
He was last seen wearing a light surgical mask, a shiny black jacket, light trousers and black sneakers.
The car is described as a white Nissan sedan, probably an Altima.
