Employees responded to the grocery store shortly after 9 a.m. and quickly taped the area of the parking lot where the mortar was located.
“Frontline officers were present and maintained the safety and security of the area,” said Capt. Tammy Lob from RCMP Kelowna. “Ministry of National Defense – Explosives Disposal Department was present and assisted in the disposal.”
cap. Lob said the Department of Defense determined that the circle was not live, and they disposed of it properly.
