Armed police are hunting for two “aggressive” dogs in Bristol. Cops issued an Easter statement warning locals.
Mothers and fathers have been warned to “stay away.” The aggressive dogs reportedly left two injured.
A statement said: “Police officers, including armed officers, conducted proportional investigations in the Hartcliff area throughout the afternoon to try to find the dogs, but these searches turned out to be negative. Trained dogs remain in the area, but other resources have resumed patrols.

“The two men who were injured went to hospital for treatment. For now, we would like to assure the public that we have not received any other reports of injuries related to these two dogs today.”
Anyone with information can call the police on 101, quoting reference number 5222090677. Avon and Somerset Police confirmed: “We know of reports of two large, aggressive dogs walking in the area of The Groves, Hartcliffe . One is light brown with spots and is wounded; the other is dark drowned in color.
“If you see, DO NOT approach and immediately call 999, quoting diary 344.”
