A major crime scene was set up in a residential area after shots were fired at a house in Kirkby.
Police were called to the house in Park Brow Drive after it was reported that the attack caused damage to a window on the ground floor. Fortunately, no one was at the property during the shooting, which is believed to have taken place shortly before 11pm on Friday, April 22.
An investigation is currently underway, with inspections at the crime scene along with house-to-house inspections. Officers also review CCTV footage in an attempt to identify those responsible and are outside the local community to reassure the local community.

On-duty Force Inspector Jim Wilde said: “The investigation is at an early stage and we want to talk to all witnesses or anyone who has any information.
“This is a residential area and there will probably be people who may have witnessed the incident or who is responsible. I urge these people to report, either directly to the police or through Crimestoppers.

“If you have CCTV, a control camera or recording other devices, please check them to see if you have any footage you could share with us that could help us find those responsible.
“Shooting with a pistol in a residential street is extremely reckless and dangerous and shows complete disregard for the safety of local residents.
