Prince Harry and Megan see the Queen for the first time in two years on the way to Invictus Games United Kingdom news

Prince Harry and Megan flew to the United Kingdom to visit the Queen on her way to the Invictus Games in the Netherlands.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who have not been together in the UK since retiring as senior working royalty more than two years ago, are also believed to have met Prince Charles.

Of course, Harry and Megan were at Windsor Castle on Thursday.

Their spokesman confirmed that they had visited the Queen before their appearance at the Invictus Games in The Hague this weekend.

Earlier on Thursday, Buckingham Palace said the queen would not attend the traditional Easter service at St George’s Chapel in Windsor.

Her Majesty, who is due to celebrate her 96th birthday next week, is experiencing mobility problems.

Harry visited the United Kingdom after being absent from the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service in London last month.

A spokesman for Harry confirmed earlier in March that he would miss the service for his grandfather, but hopes to visit the queen soon.

The duke has filed a lawsuit against the Home Office after he was told he would no longer receive the same level of personal protection when visiting the United States, although he offered to pay for it himself.

He and Megan moved to California after retiring from their royal duties in January 2020.

Harry wants to bring his two-year-old children, Archie, and 10-month-old Lilibet to visit, but he and his family “cannot return to his home” because it is too dangerous, his legal representative said.
