ATLANA – A popular Atlanta rapper who was arrested Monday in Buckhead was among 28 people listed in an 88-page indictment filed Sunday at Fulton County Supreme Court.
Jeffrey Lamar Williams, nicknamed Young Thug, has been charged with involvement in criminal street activity and conspiracy to violate the Racketeering and Corruption Affect Act, according to the indictment. The indictment outlines the specific charges against Williams and his 27 associates. The court document called the group Young Slime Life and said the members conspired to associate with others for the common purpose of illegally acquiring money and property through a racketeering model and conducting and participating in a company through a racketeering model. of racketeering. “

What is Young Slime Life?
Young Slime Life started as a street gang in the Cleveland Avenue area of Atlanta in 2012, according to the indictment. Williams, who is also called “Slime”, along with Murphy, who is called “DK”, and Stevens, who is called “Tick” or “Slug”, created it as a branch of the national band Bloods, according to the court document. Williams is known to mention him in his songs and on social media. The indictment states that in its 10 years, it has expanded to include “the surrounding Atlanta metropolitan area.”

The extended middle and index finger represent “Y”. The curved middle finger and the curved ring finger are “S”. The extended forefinger and thumb represent an “L”, the indictment said.

According to the indictment, each of the 28 defendants is charged with conspiracy to violate the Law on Racketeering and Corrupt Organizations. Those listed in the indictment include:

Young Thug’s previous clashes with law enforcement
This is not Williams’ first clash with the law in Georgia. In July 2015, his home was searched after police said he had threatened a security guard. In December 2016, he was arrested in Lennox Square on an unexpired warrant. Since then, they have all connected. In September 2017, Brookhaven police arrested him on drug charges while stopping for an alleged illegal color disorder. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine, hydrocodone and marijuana with intent to distribute, as well as possession of three other controlled substances and firearms at the time of the crime.
Williams was sentenced to Fulton County Jail.
