The Texas Department of War confirmed Monday that the body of a soldier who went missing last week has been found. Specialist Bishop E. Evans, 22, disappeared on Friday morning after rushing to the Rio Grande near the Eagle Pass to help two migrants. “Evans has disappeared after his selfless efforts to rescue two migrants who appeared to be drowning as they crossed a river from Mexico to the United States,” the Texas Department of War said. Coordinated search efforts, including Texas Rangers, Border Patrol and Texas Parks and Wildlife, continued throughout the weekend after his family was notified Friday night that he was missing, KENS 5 reported.
