The Phoenix Suns entered 3 of their best seven-game series against the New Orleans Pelicans with short arms after Devin Booker’s injury, but that didn’t stop them from stealing their home advantage on Friday night at Smoothie King Center at 114-111. I win. Behind the outstanding performances of Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton, the duo combined for 56 points, 21 rebounds and 15 assists in the win, Phoenix managed to take the victory on the road they were looking for in match 3.
Despite the loss, the Pelicans showed that they are more than able to withstand the challenge of pushing the best placed Suns to the limit. Given the fact that Booker will not take the floor again in this series for Phoenix, it will be interesting to see if New Orleans can return to Game 4.
