Surveillance video: Wanted murder suspect seen fleeing alleged murder of air conditioning repairman in SW Harris County

HARRY DISTRICT, Texas (KTRK) – ABC13 has received a new video of a suspect wanted in the murder of an air conditioning master in southwestern Harris County.

A 51-year-old craftsman was shot dead Thursday night at Block 3900 on Summit Valley Drive.

Deputies responded to the shooting around 6:35 p.m. When they arrived, they found that the victim did not react due to multiple gunshot wounds.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, the victim was working at his home when he collided with an unknown man, who then shot him.

A neighbor, who did not want to be identified, said she spoke to the client to have his air conditioner repaired. In this article, she will be called Jane Doe.

A client said the craftsman had just arrived at the home and had not yet begun work.

“He (the repairman) went into the gate to find out what was going on with the air conditioner and then went out to get his things, his equipment, to start working on it,” Doe said. “He was shot then.

ABC13 received an exclusive video of the suspected shooter fleeing the scene shortly after the Summit Valley Drive shooting around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The video shows HCSO lawmakers confronting this suspect in a crime scene block.

“The man fled the scene in an apartment about a block from where he got into an unlocked vehicle,” said Greg Pinkins of HCSO Homicide. “The deputies found him there, they stood up to him. He went on foot. The deputies lost him.”

Life Flight took the repairman to Memorial Hermann Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Officials are searching for the suspects after it was reported that he got into an unlocked car about a block from the place of the shooting.

“We are all scared. “We are afraid for our lives because the suspect has not been caught,” Doe said.

Deputies did not find him, but described him as a black man with an afro. He was last seen wearing a black Glock T-shirt on the front, red tracksuits and red slippers.

Investigators warn that anyone who meets the suspect should not approach him, but instead call 911, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

The cause of the shooting is currently unknown.

Anyone with information should call the authorities at 713-222-TIPS (8477) or the homicide department at 713-274-9100.
