Suspect arrested for shooting at Dallas hair salon, FBI investigates hate crime

Dallas police said on Tuesday they had been arrested in connection with a shooting at a hair salon in the Korean Quarter that injured three women.

The three women, all of Korean descent, were shot dead at the Hair World Salon last week after an armed man entered the restaurant and opened fire. The women received non-life-threatening injuries and were discharged from the hospital.

The FBI Field Office in Dallas confirmed Monday that the agency has launched a federal investigation into hate crimes.

police Chief Eddie Garcia said on Friday that the shooting could be linked to two other shootings related to the race in the city.

The suspect has not yet been identified, but police say the suspect is being questioned and processed.

Earlier in the morning, a tweet from Dallas police said Chief Garcia would release additional information about the arrest later Tuesday.
