Teenagers were taken to hospital after a double “stabbing” on the Scottish road

Two teenage boys were rushed to hospital after a double stabbing in South Lanarkshire on Friday night.

The incident happened around 9:30 pm, when employees were alerted to signals about the stabbing of Likprivik Road, East Kilbride.

Emergency services, including the Scottish Police and the Scottish ambulance, arrived on the scene.

Two boys, aged 15 and 16, were rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment.

Their conditions are not yet known.

Cops have now launched an investigation into the incident, but say they are following a positive line of investigation.

A Scottish police spokesman said: “Officers were called to Lycprivik Road, East Kilbride, to receive a stabbing signal at around 9.30pm on Friday, April 15, 2022.

“Two teenage boys, aged 15 and 16, were taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

“Investigations into the incident are ongoing and officers are following a positive line of investigation.”
