The 39-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene of an A390 crash in Lostwithile

A man died at the scene of an accident on the A390 in Lostwithil yesterday (Wednesday, May 4). Part of the A390 was closed for seven hours after the collision.

Shortly before 12:10 pm, a connection was sought with the police for an accident with a white Suzuki motorcycle and a black Peugeot carrier at the intersection with B3269. A local motorcyclist died on the spot as a result of the collision.

The close relatives of the 39-year-old man have been notified and supported by a traffic police liaison officer. The passengers in the Peugeot were unharmed and stopped on the spot.

Traffic police officers were present at the collision to investigate and determine how the collision occurred. The road was closed for seven hours and police thanked the public for their patience.

Witnesses are required to contact Devon and Cornwall police on 101 with information quoting registration number 0357 of May 4, 2022. Police are particularly interested in any footage of driving the two vehicles before the collision.
