The body of a missing man has been found right in front of Greater Manchester. Mountain rescue teams say they were called yesterday in the Shire Hill area of Glossop, and a body was found shortly afterwards.
Glossop Mountain Rescue was called by Derbyshire police to search a pedestrian site on Shire Hill yesterday (Thursday, April 21) to help search for a missing person. Shortly afterwards, the body of a missing man was found.
A statement from Glossop Mountain Rescue Team said: “Yesterday, the team was asked to help Derbyshire police search for a missing person in the Shire Hill area of Glossop. For a tragic body, a man’s body was found shortly after the search began.

“All members of the Glossop Mountain Rescue Team would like to express our sincere condolences to family and friends at this difficult time. Derbyshire police have been contacted for more information.
