Police in LaSal, Ont., Have identified the body of the suspect in the March murder of 34-year-old Amanda Lions.
Investigators believe Blair Lions, Amanda’s husband, died after jumping off the Ambassador Bridge into the Detroit River, police said after her body was found in the family home.
In a press release Tuesday, police said a boatman found a body in the Detroit River on Monday morning between the Windsor Bridge and Fighting Island.
Police found that it was 34-year-old Blair Lions.
On the morning of March 19, police found a vehicle owned by the couple, which was abandoned on the bridge. Officers then went to the Sugarwood Crescent couple’s home for a health check, and found the front door open and the mother’s body of three young children inside.
“Through an investigation, detectives identified Amanda’s husband, Blair Lions, as responsible for her murder,” police said at the time.
Police said Amanda and Blair’s families have been notified of the body’s discovery and are asking the public for privacy.
