LaSalle police say they have found the body of a man suspected of killing his wife.
Shortly after 11 a.m. Monday, the Windsor Maritime Police Marine Corps was notified by a crew member of a nearby ship that a body had been found in the Detroit River.
“Windsor police received a phone call from a crew member of a nearby ship in the Detroit River, just north of the Battlefield Salt Mine and Ambassador Bridge, that they had spotted a body in the water,” LaSal Police Liaison Officer Terry Seguin said. .
The department attended and summoned members of the LaSalle Police Investigation Department, who were able to confirm that it was Blair Lions.
“Even if you don’t know them, it’s horrible. “The heart is heartbreaking, heartbreaking, so it absolutely affects us here at the police station,” Seguin said. “There were a few shouts around.”
Police have searched Lyons as a murder suspect as well as an under investigation for a missing person.
