The Celtics return against the Bucks to win Game 4, 116-108 and tie a series of NBA playoffs

Bucks star Janice Adetokunmpo was clearly exhausted in the second half, but finished 34th in the loss.

Boston had 48 points in the fight tonight. They had only 44 in total in games 1 and 2 of this series.

Grant Williams started in place of Robert Williams, who was not available due to left knee pain – a residual effect of his meniscus surgery in March.

Game 5 will be on Wednesday at TD Garden. Read on to see how the game unfolded.

Observations of Adam Himmelsbach – 22:14

With Jaylan Brown on the bench with his fifth foul, Jason Tatum trying not to be tracked, Robert Williams out due to knee pain and Bucks leading by 7 points to the fourth quarter, the Celtics were in a bad position.

But Al Horford has seen too much to be shaken by such a situation. Thus, in match 4 on Monday night, the 35-year-old achieved a performance for centuries, exploding for a record 30 career points in the playoffs with eight rebounds to lead the Celtics to a victory with 116-108, which made it the best – out of seven conference semifinals at 2-2.

It seems that Tatum found his position at the end and helped finish the Bucks with his night with 30 points.

Celtics win – 22:06

What a resounding victory.

Al Horford had a memorable night, scoring 30 points – the highest of the playoffs of his career – to determine Boston’s victory.

The Celtics increased by 10 by one minute to the end – 22:04

Game 5 will be on Wednesday night at TD Garden.

Remains 3:05, and the Celtics ahead 7 – 21:57

The Celtics retreated in the fourth quarter, jumping to a seven-point lead after making 13 of their 15 attempts to strike. If Boston succeeds, Bucks will regret the loss as a missed opportunity.

Timeout: Celtics 106, Bucks 96 – 21:54

The Celtics beat the Bucks 33-16 in the fourth time to a 10-point lead of 3:24 by the end of the game.

Janice is back, Connauton looks injured – 21:53

This break was quite short. The Celtics lead 102-96, remaining 4:06.

Janice on the bench with less than 5 minutes of play – 21:52

With Bucks 4 and less than five minutes behind by the end of the fourth quarter, Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer decided to give Janice Adetokunmpo a break. Adetokunmpo seemed obsessed with Milwaukee’s last possessions.

Watch: Al Horford burns 21 – 21:49

With 30 points, Al Horford has a new record in his post-season career. Horford was absolutely critical in that game, making 11 of his 14 attempts to score a game, including five timely threes. He is the reason the Celtics are in this game.

Is Al Horford’s previous playoff high? These were 26 points, which he scored three times: in 2013 with the Hawks and twice in the Celtics playoff series in 2018.

Horford’s line with 5:09 remains: 11 for 14, 5 for 7 of 3, 29 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 block.

Dominant.

Jaylan Brown is back in the game – 21:47

With 6:02 left over to the fourth quarter, Celtics coach Ime Udoka decided to bring Jaylan Brown back with five fouls.

Holy Cow, Al Horford – 9:46 p.m.

Horford lowers baseline 3, which is 27 points for the vet – a career playoff record.

Update of results: 6:00, Q4 – 21:45

The Bucks are up, 94-92, after Janice missed her i-one.

Watch: Al Horford finishes a big run for Boston – 21:42

24 points for Big Al, and the Celtics advanced by 3 to 21:39

Al Horford, 35, is playing a great game.

Celtics 88, Bucks 85. Remains 8:01 in the match.

Perk doesn’t like that call – 9:36 p.m.

Hell no. Janice slaps and hits people in the face in all series !!! Play and continue …

– Kendrick Perkins (@KendrickPerkins) May 10, 2022

Watch: Al Horford scores a massive dunk to equalize – 21:33

Horford was called in as a technician after throwing his elbow in Janice’s face.

Janice was also called up for a foul on Horford.

Smart makes the game for two points – 21:31

The game is Bucks 80, Celtics 78 with 10:03.

Two big questions for the fourth quarter – 21:29

Two big questions came up in the fourth quarter, with the Celtics losing 7:

▪ When will Name Udoka bring Jaylan Brown back (five fouls) back into the game?

▪ Will Janis Adetokunmpo play all 12 minutes?

The Celtics actually performed better than usual in the minutes without Janice tonight.

A difficult third quarter for the Celtics, Boston expires from 19 to 21:25

The Celtics are down 80-73 after a disappointing third quarter.

They came out of the middle one by one. Now they are down by 7 after conceding 13 points to Janis Adetokunmpo in the third.

Come on! A huge turn of events for the Bucks – 21:22

Huge overview of the replays with 1:47 left in the third quarter: The referees announced a blocking foul by Jrou Holiday, who defended the manager Jaylan Brown. But Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer challenged the invitation and after a review, the referees canceled the call. Instead of Holiday taking his fourth personal foul, Brown took his fifth.

A break for Jason Tatum? – 21:18 h

Wesley Matthews scored his fourth personal foul with the remaining 3:03 in the third quarter. Matthews was a huge factor in limiting Jason Tatum, so maybe Tatum will be able to take advantage of his absence.

The Celtics were a team in the third quarter of the season. Not tonight. – 21:17 h

After Janice Adetokunmpo floater – bringing his third-quarter overall score to 13 and Milwaukee’s lead to 11 – Celtics coach Ime Udoka had to cancel a time-out. The Celtics were the NBA’s best-performing team in the third quarter of the regular season, but they lost that quarter in the last two games and will lose another one tonight if they don’t turn things around.

Waiting time: Bucks 76, Celtics 62, 3:31 Q3 – 21:14

Fiserv Forum crowd on foot – 21:12

The audience of the Fiserv Forum is on its feet, celebrating another mistake against the Celtics. This time it was a foul on a loose ball against Grant Williams, his fourth personally with 3:44 remaining in the third quarter. The Bucks took advantage of the bonus to reach the line, but Janice Adetokunmpo saved the Celtics by missing his free throws.

Four fouls for Grant Williams and not a good look – 21:12

Grant Williams is lucky he didn’t catch technology there. This is his 4th.

– Adam Himmelsbach (@AdamHimmelsbach) May 10, 2022

Yannis has 13 points from the third quarter 21 – 21:09

Nothing the Celtics throw at the Greek freak seems to matter.

Bonus for 6+ minutes – 21:06

The Bucks will be in the bonus for the last 6:32 in the third quarter.

Analysis: These Celtics will not disappear – 21:03

The Celtics will not leave. They came back from a double-digit deficit in the first half, and then, after the Bucks took a seven-point lead at the start of the third quarter, they remained at an astonishing distance. After a three-pointer by Jason Tatum reduced the gap to two, Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer declared a timeout in disappointment. Tatum has up to 18 points in 6 of 12 shots, including 2 of 7 out of three. Some of his shortcomings were quite open.

Update of results: 7:00, Q3 – 21:01

Bucks 63, Celtics 61.

Brown sits with four fouls – 20:58

Jaylan Brown scored his fourth foul with 9:03 left in the third quarter. The Bucks try to find the switch where Brown eventually guards Janice Adetokunmpo. It is clear that this did not work out very well for Brown.

Janice gets T’d for … a mockery ?! – 20:54 h

The referee punched Janis Adetokunmpo with a technical foul for mockery after his ferocious kick. Coach Mike Budenholzer jumped on the court to express his dissatisfaction with the invitation. One writer’s opinion: Ridicule should not be punished in the NBA (or NFL).

Janice stared dead at Horford and said something. Tony Brothers heard him. # Celtics # Bucks

The third quarter is underway – 20:50

Here we are.

Grizzlies-Warriors Update – 8:48 p.m.

Steve Kerr has entered the NBA’s health and safety records and will not train the Warriors tonight against the Grizzlies.

Ja Morant is not expected to play for Memphis after suffering a knee injury in Game 3.

The Celtics will not stop complaining … but they must stop – 20:42

The Celtics do not seem happy with the refereeing, especially the fact that Wesley Matthews won three free throws in a foul on Jaylan Brown. But they need to stop complaining every time their call doesn’t work. In Game 3, Name Udoka pulled Grant Williams because he chose to bark at the referee instead of returning to defense.

One number you need to know – 20:40

One statistic that stands out from the first half is Milwaukee’s 10 offensive fights.

They are only 3 out of 9 on second chance hits, so the damage could be worse, but the Celtics had trouble keeping Bucks away from the glass. The absence of Robert Williams hurts in this regard.

Half time statistics check – 8:36 p.m.

Celtics

Al Horford: 11 points, 1 assist, 4 rebounds

Jaylan Brown: 11 points, 1 assist, 2 rebounds, 1 for 3 out of three

Jason Tatum: 9 points, no assists, 7 rebounds, 1 against 6 of three

dollars

Janis Adetokunmpo: 15 points, 2 assists, 11 rebounds

Pat Conauton: 8 points, 4 assists, no rebounds

At half time: Bucks 48, Celtics 47 – 20:34

Wesley Matthews was fouled with 21.4 seconds to play in the second quarter – a charge that was Name Udoka no pleased and he informed the referees.

Matthews made all three rough shots.

In the ensuing tenure, Janice Adetokunmpo stormed Grant Williams just before Williams attempted the final blow for the quarter. Williams threw both free throws.

The Celtics can’t catch a break of three – 20:29

They are 6 to 20. Eek.

Celtics 43, Bucks 40, 1:27.

TV standby: Celtics 43, Bucks 40 – 20:25

With 2:37 left in the first …
