A Mexican “drug lord” wanted in 200 different countries has finally been arrested after “running all security protocols” to spend several nights with a model.
Brian Donaziano Olguin Berdugo, 39, has reportedly traveled to Colombia to negotiate cocaine deals with the Revolutionary Armed Forces of the Colombian People’s Army (FARC).
The Marxist guerrilla group is believed to be funded by participating in a number of activities, including drug distribution.
Berdugo, known in drug circles as Pete, did business with the FARC on behalf of the Sinaloa cartel, one of the world’s most famous drug groups.
But after completing his deals, Berdugo went to meet a model in a luxury apartment in the town of Cali, Valle del Cauca.
The couple stayed there for several nights and the unnamed woman finally managed to persuade Berdugo to visit the lively tourist resort of Cerro de los Cristales.
The model posted a photo of the two kissing, and the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) saw her whereabouts.

In addition, security cameras at Jose Maria Cordova International Airport had already filmed Berdugo with another woman.
The DEA said Colombian anti-drug police and intelligence officers tracked Berdugo early two weeks before arresting him.
Police in Colombia say they have already been offered a bribe of $ 265,000 (£ 202,909).

The United States is trying to extradite Berdugo to stand up to the criminal justice system there, but lawyers are currently fighting the order.
Police spokesman General Jorge Vargas Valencia said: “We believe that this result was the most important in terms of catching delegates of Mexican cartels who come to commit crimes of drug trafficking with the FARC in Cauca.”
