A 26-year-old native of Kincardine pleaded guilty to charges stemming from a fatal crash in late 2021.
On November 7, 2021, West Gray police responded to a call about the driver of a stolen pickup truck. The truck was moving unevenly and at a speed of over 150 km / h. The driver ran over a tire leak and then crashed into a car traveling in the opposite direction, killing a 40-year-old man and seriously injuring a 14-year-old girl and a 26-year-old suspect. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Kincardine resident Jeremy Hogg, is charged with criminal negligence causing death, criminal negligence causing bodily harm (2 points), robbery and possession of property obtained through a crime over $ 5,000.00
On May 4, Hogg pleaded guilty to trial in Ontario and was sentenced to seven years in prison, nine months in prison, a life ban on firearms, a 20-year ban on driving, and the court ordered a DNA test.
