The mother has new questions after the discovery of Chelsea Purman’s body

The mother of a woman whose remains were found in an empty home in Vancouver a year and a half after her daughter’s disappearance says she will not give up looking for answers.

“Someone still knows what happened to her,” Sheila Purman told Global News. “How did she die like that?”

Teams working on an empty $ 7.1 million Shawnee home found Chelsea Purman’s body on April 22.

Purman was 24 when he disappeared on September 6, 2020, during a night out. Her mother said she had recently moved to the city to try to work on mental health and addiction.

The cause of her death remains unknown, and since her remains were a skeleton, police say toxicology is not possible.

However, Vancouver police said on Friday that there was no evidence of bad games.

“We’ll probably never know what caused the death,” said the sergeant. Said Steve Addison.

“Where it was found, it was quite unclean and overgrown. It is quite probable and plausible that she died there shortly after she disappeared and remained undiscovered there until two weeks ago, when a contractor came to work on the house.

Meanwhile, her mother begs anyone who has any information to come out.

“She wanted to get better, I know that. She had many dreams, she wanted to do many things for her life, “she said.

“Contact Vancouver Police, let them know, even if it’s a small detail, it can help us because we still need answers. I don’t believe my daughter just died, ended up alone and just died. I don’t think that’s how it turned out. “
