A longtime colleague of a Chinese food vendor who was fatally shot dead in Forest Hills on Saturday told The Post that the disgruntled customer was wanted for questioning by cops in the murder that first worried the joint about the amount of duck sauce it gave him.
One night late last year, “The customer came in and ordered food,” recalls 70-year-old Great Wall restaurant employee Soi Chung. He left with the food, but then came back and said, “It’s not enough.” He came to the counter and wanted more food, more duck sauce.
“They had an argument and the boss said, ‘Enough is enough,'” said the Queens-based nutritionist for 20 years. “The man left the restaurant and later came back and threw the duck sauce, everything, everywhere. So the police came and took the report, but the man was not there.
Chung said the angry customer was only getting bolder and more dangerous.
“Then he sometimes waited outside,” Chung said. He said to the chef, the peddler, and one of the cooks, “I remember you. I remember you.’ “

Chung and another employee said the 50-year-old angry patron even fired a gun at employees in January and vandalized their cars, including cutting the tires on the manager’s car.
Chung said the harassment ended when workers reported the incident to the cops with a gun incident.
Police are now investigating whether the tragic hard-working immigrant Jiven Yang, 45, was the client’s target, with detectives trying to question the man, according to law enforcement sources.
Yang, a married father of three who migrated from China about 20 years ago, was delivering near 108th Street and 67th Drive in Forest Hills at about 9:30 p.m. on Saturday when he was shot once in the chest and knocked down by his scooter.
He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police sources said that the description of the car that escaped from the scene of the fatal shooting – an older Lexus SUV – coincided with that of the customer’s car.
The mail obscures the name of the client, as he is not officially identified as a suspect or interested party in the case.
People at the restaurant’s patron’s apartment building on Monday described him as a threat.
