A neighbor spoke of her horror after finding a dead woman in a Manchester apartment tonight.
Police are investigating after two people – a man and a woman – were found dead in a neighboring apartment on Princess Road on Saturday night. Both deaths are under investigation, but GMP says there is no risk to the wider community at this stage.
Police were first called to an apartment on Princess Road, near the intersection with Bowes Street, around 4:20 p.m. Saturday afternoon to announce that a woman had been found dead. A neighbor called police after finding the woman dead inside.

Speaking of Manchester evening news, a neighbor, who did not want to be named, said she was a friend of the woman. She said the woman was in her 60s and went to get food “every day”.
However, a neighbor said she was injured after finding the body when she entered the apartment at around 3.15pm. “I ran away from the apartment as soon as possible,” she said.
She said she raised the alarm and paramedics and police soon arrived. She said the woman’s death had left those living nearby who knew her devastated.
“It’s just awful. Everyone knew her, she was part of the community,” she said. “She will sit in the front of her chair and have a drink. He was there last night. I can not believe.”
Police at the scene in Princess Road, south Manchester, after two people were found dead
A few hours after the police presence, GMP was called due to concerns about the well-being of a man in a neighboring apartment around 7:10 p.m. Police said paramedics were the first to enter the apartment next door and found a dead man inside.
A neighbor said residents lived “had no idea” how they had died.
“It wasn’t until a private ambulance came for her that they found the man,” she said. “I never met him, but he obviously lived in the apartment next door. We have no idea what happened, they won’t tell us.”
