The rumor about Google Pixel Fold says that it is smaller than Galaxy Z Fold 3, it may come in 2023.

With the success of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, there are rumors of a potential Google Pixel Fold. Although it was rumored that the phone would be released in late 2021 or mid-2022, Google had apparently unplugged. A new rumor now says the device came back from the dead.

The news comes from reliable display analyst Ross Young, co-founder and CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants. In a tweet, Young said that the foldable Google will be more squat than Samsung’s upcoming Z Fold 4. The external display is said to be 5.8 inches, as opposed to the estimated 6.19 inches of the Z Fold 4, which means that the internal display, when the phone is open, will have a wider aspect ratio.

Z Fold 4 and Google foldable will have folding displays of similar size, but the Google cover screen will be much smaller by 5.8 “. This should mean that there will be a wider ratio of countries than Samsung 6 , 19 “Fold 4. Hear more in our conference next week.

As for the potential release date, in response to a Twitter user, Young said fans can expect Pixel Fold in the fourth quarter of this year. However, the information seems to be fluid.

“This is based on discussions with supply chain companies about a specific configuration,” Young told CNET. “However, we also now hear that it may be pushed out in 2023. Do not believe that they have actually made the order.”

Young said he and his team needed more time to confirm the exact release window.

Google did not respond immediately to a request for comment.

Whether the foldable Google will be released later this year or next, it will most likely run on Android 13. As for the price, an unnamed source told 9to5Google that it will cost less than the Z Fold 3, which launched last year August for $ 1,800.
