The Seinfeld cast remembers their favorite TV mothers Liz Sheridan and Estelle Harris

The Seinfeld cast paid a touching tribute to their two beloved mothers after the successive deaths of Liz Sheridan and Estelle Harris.

Sheridan, known for playing Jerry Seinfeld’s sitcom mother, died at the age of 93, just over a week after Estelle Harris’ death earlier this month.

Leading the tribute, Seinfeld took to Twitter to share some candid words about his television mother.

“Liz has always been the sweetest, sweetest TV mother her son could wish for,” he wrote next to a photo of the couple.

“Every time she came to our show, it was the most cozy feeling for me. I’m so happy to know her. “

Jason Alexander, who played George Constanza in the hit sitcom, recalled his own television mother and wrote: “One of my favorite people is gone – my television mother, Estelle Harris.

“The joy of playing with her and enjoying her glorious laughter was a pleasure. I adore you, Estelle. Love for your family. Peace now and always. ”

In a later tweet, Alexander thanked the fans for sending their love and memories.

“She would be so moved,” he wrote. “Me too. And as she would say, “WHY CAN’T YOU BE MORE LYOD LOVED BROWN !! ??” Lloyd, of course, was George’s main rival in Seinfeld.

Julia Lewis-Dreyfus, who played Elaine, also took to Twitter to remember the late comic book icon.

RIP Estelle Harris. I love you. #serenitynow, ”she tweeted.

Sheridan played Helen Seinfeld’s superprotected mother in 21 episodes of Seinfeld from 1990 to 1998. The star died of natural causes around 2:30 a.m. Friday, TMZ reported.

She is the only Seinfeld star – with the exception of the four lead roles – to appear in all nine seasons of the hit sitcom.

Just two weeks earlier, Harris had died a natural death on April 2.

She is survived by three children, three grandchildren and a great-grandson.
