New comprehensive leak from TechnikNews together with some official-looking renderings tell an interesting story about Sony’s future ANC headphones – WH-1000XM5.
As you can see from the renderings below, there are small but noticeable design changes compared to the older version. The upcoming headphones look a little cleaner than their predecessors, have larger ear pads, and the headband seems to have a little more lining. The hinge that holds the ear pads has also been redesigned. At first glance, these changes are likely to contribute to a more comfortable fit.

The power button has already been replaced with a slider switch, while the custom button has been replaced with an NC / Ambient button.

In terms of specifications, the new iteration is likely to provide up to 40 hours of continuous playback with ANC enabled, which is 10 hours more than XM4. It is expected that the charging time has also increased and the headphones will take 3.5 hours to fully charge.
The source does not mention anything about the release dates, unfortunately.
