The suspect is wanted after an attack on Yonge and Bloor metro stations

Toronto police are asking the public for help in identifying a suspect who allegedly hit a man several times at a TTC station last month.

On April 16, officers responded to reports of an attack at Yonge and Bloor subway stations shortly before 9:15 p.m.

Two men were reportedly involved in a verbal altercation on the Bloor subway platform.

One man hit the other several times and the victim was seriously injured, police said.

The suspect fled the area and is described as in his 20s, five feet tall and seven inches, weighing between 160 and 170 pounds, with a black beard.

He was wearing a black du-rag, a black winter jacket with a hood with the Canada Goose logo on his left shoulder, black pants and black shoes.

Police released photos of the suspect on Tuesday.
