Three “seriously injured” after an accident in St Austell in the early hours

Three people were seriously injured after an accident in the early hours of May 1st. At around 1.30am, Devon and Cornwall police officers were called to the scene in Riddlemore near St. Austell.

The St Austell Community fire station says Bodmin’s road is closed in both directions and is expected to remain closed for a “significant” period of time. Speaking to CornwallLive, a police spokesman said: “Police are at the scene of a serious clash at Ruddlemoor in St. Austel, which took place in the early hours of Sunday, May 1st.

“Employees were notified of the collision shortly after 1.30 am, in which one vehicle was involved. Three people were seriously injured.

“The road is currently closed in both directions and officials are advising the public to avoid the area. Anyone with information has been asked to contact the police, citing registration number 0096 010522.”

Road traffic and surveillance service, Inrix reports: “B3274 closed in both directions due to major accident from Drummers Hill to A391 (Single Rose Roundabout)”.
