Tom Grenan was seen for the first time since he was attacked in front of a bar in New York while sharing a video update with his fans on social media.
The 26-year-old singer explained in a video on Twitter that he was suffering from a concussion after the unprovoked attack, which he insisted was just a case of being in the “wrong place at the wrong time”.
Tom, who canceled a concert in Washington on Friday as a result of the attack, said he had filed a police report and would still be on stage until the end of his tour.

During the incident, Tom’s eardrum was ruptured and he was told it would take several weeks to heal, but he revealed that he was taking medication to dull the pain.
He said, “Hey, guys, what’s going on? I thought I would come in here and let you know that I am fine and the support I see is amazing and very huge.
“I can’t believe it, so thank you very much.”
He continued: “Twenty-four hours was crazy. It was a little crazy to be honest with you, but I decided to come here and just tell you what really happened.

“He was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and I was hit, knocked out and woke up and I was like what happened.
“I have a ruptured eardrum. Fortunately, my jaw is fine. I have a slight concussion, but I am currently on medication and this is something that removes the pain.
Tom, wearing a hooded top and baseball cap, touched his left ear and jaw as he spoke and continued, “I filed a police report. In the NYPD, they were great, they were brilliant.
Video message: He said on Friday that his eardrum, which ruptured during the attack, is expected to take several weeks to heal, but he is on medication to help him cope with the pain.
“So yes, wrong place, wrong time, but just crazy 24 hours, but you are my top priority and I don’t want to disappoint anyone and I don’t want to cancel this US tour.
“So, unfortunately, we had to stop the show today in Washington, but the show has to go on, but I’m just going to do my best to get to Boston, do the show and do the tour and see you a lot.
“But thank you very much.” It was amazing to see how many people show love and support and I promise you that everything is fine.

“It will take a few weeks, hopefully the ear will be fine, but we’ll see.

The UK-born spoke at The Bowery Ballroom in New York on Wednesday and took to Twitter and Instagram on Thursday to reveal that he was attacked unprovoked after the show.
Early hours: “In the early hours of this morning after Tom’s show in New York, he was the victim of an unprovoked attack and robbery in front of a bar in Manhattan,” the statement began.
Tom’s manager, John Hawkins, posted a statement on the singer’s Instagram, revealing that he is in a “good mood”, but also that he canceled his performance on Friday night in Washington.
“In the early hours of this morning after Tom’s show in New York, he was the victim of an unprovoked attack and robbery in front of a bar in Manhattan,” the statement began.
“Tom is currently in hospital, and doctors are assessing his injuries, which include a torn ear, a torn eardrum and a problem with his previously broken jaw,” the statement continued.
“However, Tom is in a good mood, but he needs to recover temporarily while doctors assess his ability to continue his tour.”
“Tom is desperate not to disappoint anyone, but we made the precautionary decision to postpone the show in Washington tomorrow until later, with details to follow,” the statement added.

Following the now canceled performance in Washington, Tom has only three more planned stops on his US tour.
He is scheduled to play at Brighton Music Hall in Boston on Saturday, April 23, Rickshaw Stop in San Francisco on Tuesday, April 26 and The Troubador in Los Angeles on Wednesday, April 27.
He has a break of more than a month after stopping in Los Angeles before starting the British stage of his tour in Cork, Ireland at The Marquee on 31 May.
