Say hello to Mighty Thor. Gif: Marvel Studios
After Thor: Ragnarok, fans obviously expected Thor: Love and Thunder to be wild. Just outside the walls, it amazes the nonsense of the man who does it better than anyone: screenwriter-director Taika Whitey. Now the first trailer is here and fulfilling that promise and much more. Marvel’s cinematic universe is really thundering. And we love it.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be released in theaters on July 8. He brings back Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Natalie Portman as Jane Foster, as well as all Guardians of the Galaxy, Oscar winners Christian Bale and Russell Crowe and many more. Many of which you see right here in this amazing trailer.
The last time we saw the God of Thunder, he had left New Asgard in the capable hands of Valkyrie and gone back into space with the Guardians of the Galaxy at the end of The Avengers: End of Game. As you can see, this movie starts from there and goes to places we would never have expected. Well, except that the whole of Jane Foster is becoming the Mighty Thor thing – this was revealed at Comic-Con in San Diego in 2019, when Marvel Studios President Kevin Feigi outlined the plan for Phase 4. At that time, “Thor: Love and Thunder “was one of the last entries. Now it is finally coming and according to what we can say, it will certainly set things up for the future.
Oh, and isn’t it wild that Thor: Love and Thunder is the first fourth Marvel Studios movie? The Avengers has four films, but Iron Man and Captain America have only three. Is this what makes Thor the current jewel in the crown of the Marvel cinematic universe? Or could Marvel just not say no to another Waititi movie when it actually has a choice of projects, including Star Wars? Probably a little of both. In the meantime, check out a new poster for the film.
