Trump News Live: The former president says the promotion of Pierce Morgan’s interview is “doctoral” because of new audio shows he hasn’t escaped

Trump’s team has repeatedly asked Pierce Morgan to complete the interview in an expired audio clip

Former President Donald Trump has attacked host Pierce Morgan, accusing him of advertising an interview to hint that the Republican leader has invaded the room. The edited trailer shows an angry Mr. Trump grimacing, while Mr Morgan called the 2020 election “free and fair” and said the former president “never presented hard evidence” to prove otherwise. The former president intervened by shouting “excuse me” over and over before apparently throwing himself away.

However, a new audio released on NBC News by a Trump spokesman shows that the interview actually ended in a far friendlier way, with the two men enjoying a discussion about the former president’s alleged hole in a recent golf course.

Meanwhile, Rudy Giuliani, a former mayor of New York and a former lawyer for the former president, was revealed on Wednesday in an episode of Fox’s “The Masked Singer” as Jack in the Box. He was also the first star to be eliminated in the third round.

Mr. Giuliani appeared on stage, singing “Bad to the Bone” by George Torogud and the Destroyers, leaving the judges and the audience stunned.

Report: Republican leaders’ anger against Trump after January 6 was more intense than is known

The New York Times published a new report detailing exchanges between top Republicans in Congress after Jan. 6 as they discussed the consequences for Donald Trump – and the quotes he includes are something he should to be seen.

Drawn from the upcoming book This Shall Not Pass, which looks at the Trump-Biden transition period and efforts to cancel the 2020 election, the account includes particularly intriguing details about the changing views of Kevin McCarthy, now a devout pro-Trump minority in the House of Representatives. A leader who briefly opposed the president over the uprising.

Publicly after Jan. 6, Mr. McCarthy rebuked Mr. Trump, saying he was “responsible” for the mob that tried to prevent Congress from officially certifying the president’s loss. But he refused to condemn him in harsher language.

In private, Mr McCarthy went much further.

During a telephone conversation with several other senior Republicans in the House of Representatives on Jan. 8, Mr McCarthy said Mr Trump’s behavior on Jan. 6 was “brutal and completely wrong”. He accused the president of “inciting people” to attack the Capitol, saying Mr Trump’s remarks at a rally at the National Mall that day “were not correct in any form or form” .

During that conversation, Mr. McCarthy asked about the mechanism for invoking the 25th Amendment – the process by which the vice president and cabinet members can remove a president – before concluding that this was not a viable option. Mr McCarthy, who was among those who opposed the election results, was uncertain and hesitant, fearing that Democrats’ drive to impeach Mr Trump would “fuel more fire” in the country’s divisions.

But Mr McCarthy’s resolve seems to have hardened as the gravity of the attack – and the potential political consequences for his party – sank.

Ingraham: Biden just wants to make his family rich “before he leaves this land”

In a segment of Joe Biden’s economic policies last night, hard Fox News presenter Laura Ingram managed to cram in one sentence the two main statements of the right for the president: that he is senile and that he is corrupt.

It is worth recalling that Donald Trump and his family have been investigated for a number of alleged conflicts of interest that sent money during Mr Trump’s rule – and that the former president has charged high prices for his details. from the secret services to properties owned by him. a company that effectively generates taxpayer revenue.

ICYMI: Biden heads to White House reporters’ dinner

Some of Joe Biden’s differences with Donald Trump are deeper than others. Among those in the middle of a trivially serious continuum is his decision to attend a White House reporters’ dinner, a key element in Washington, whose rituals include a sitting president giving a comic speech while sitting while an established comedian bake them. in front of a room with journalists and other lights.

Donald Trump, who is not known for being ridiculed, rejected the event altogether, as his press relationship hit Antarctic temperatures – and now, after a year of rest thanks to Covid-19, Joe Biden will return in person, another a gesture of courtesy to both the media establishment and the normal political culture of the United States.

Trump is distributing audio that contradicts the trailer for the interview with Morgan

After Pierce Morgan aired a trailer for his interview with Donald Trump, the former president reacted with a furious statement, including a now-circulating audio clip that shows a much more orderly end to the meeting than the promotional video suggests.

Here is what Mr. Trump had to say …

Pierce Morgan, like other fake news media, tried to illegally and fraudulently edit his long and annoying interview with me. He wanted to make it look like I came out of the interview when my 20-minute limit exceeded one hour. The good news is that the interview was recorded by us to keep it honest. The interview was actually very strong about the election fraud in 2020, and I called him a “fool” if he really believes in these results. The evidence is massive and irrefutable (see Truth the Vote and the upcoming Dinesh D’Souza documentary). For those who want to make Pierce look bad, compare the promotion of his video and the way it is corrected with the real thing. We hope that now they will make some big changes in their final product. However, this only shows what I have to deal with in the fake media. He did his best to edit a deceptive interview and was caught. That’s a big story, isn’t it?
