Two British volunteers helping to provide humanitarian aid to Ukraine have been captured by the Russian military.
The non-profit presidium identified two men as Paul Yuri, 45, and Dylan Healy, 22.
They were working to evacuate a woman and two children from the Zaporozhye region when they were stopped at a military checkpoint on Monday and accused of being British spies.
The presidium network announced that the last time they had contact with Yuri was at 4 o’clock in the morning. Since then, a person who claims to be a volunteer has not provided personal information when sending messages to the organization.
“These messages were not written in their natural style and failed to issue security codewords,” the organization said.
