JACKSONVILLE BEACH, FL – Police are investigating a double shooting in the parking lot of Brix Taphouse, a popular bar in Jacksonville Beach, in which two people were injured.
Police were called to Brix Taphouse on 2nd Street North and 2nd Avenue around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.
When the shooting happened, the crowd from the “Discover the Beaches” parade thinned out, officials said.
According to Jacksonville Beach police, when they arrived, they found that two people had been shot.
One man has a gun and a gunshot wound to the leg. The second man was found near Rita’s Italian ice and frozen cream and was also shot in the leg.
Both were transported to hospital.
Police are working to find out exactly what led to the shooting.
