Police and ambulance crews were outside St. Andrew this afternoon (Saturday) due to an accident. Photos sent to BirminghamLive show police vans and ambulances at the scene.
It is believed that the incident occurred shortly before the start between Birmingham City and Millwall in their clash for the championship at 15:00.
It is unclear what happened, but witnesses suggest the man suffered head injuries. Twitter user Central1850, who took photos, tweeted: “St. Andrews Football Field … a man with head injuries.”
His photos show several ambulances and police vehicles, as well as police officers. BirminghamLive contacted West Midlands police for a statement.
