A fire in Elsmere Harbor sent streams of black smoke into the air.
Firefighters are dealing with a fire in an outbuilding of a company on Oil Sites Road. The main gas and electricity supplies are isolated and the fire is extinguished with foam.
Images and videos shared on social media appear to indicate that the building was set on fire at the Innospec plant.
The fire is believed to have occurred at 11:49 a.m. this morning. There are fire engines from Ellesmere Port, Chester, Runcorn, Powey Lane and Merseyside.
