A new video shows former Alabama jail chief Vicki White at the Quality Inn hours before she disappeared with convicted murderer Casey White as authorities downplayed speculation that the huge inmate might be traveling disguised as a woman in a wheelchair.
The 14-second video, released on Saturday, shows a blonde Vicky wearing a black sweatshirt walking back and forth near the front desk. White, who is not related to the inmate, stayed at the hotel two nights before the blast, the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office said.
“We know she stayed there,” said Sheriff Rick Singleton. “This is right next to the mall where the escape car was parked and where the patrol car was parked,” which she used to get Casey White out of jail.
Meanwhile, two officers involved in the search for the couple told The Post that there was no evidence to support the local district attorney’s theory that Casey White, 6’9 inches and 330 pounds, could travel in disguise as a woman in a wheelchair.
“This is news to me, I’ve never heard of him trying to dress differently,” said Chad Hunt, commander of the US Marshall Service’s Regional Refugee Task Force.

Marty Keeley, the U.S. marshal for northern Alabama, called the theory “non-factual.”
“There are a million theories about what’s happening,” he added.
Lauderdale, Alabama County Attorney Chris Connelly has suggested that Casey White may be dressed as a woman and pushed by Vicky White in a wheelchair to distract from his height, according to the Daily Mail. It is also speculated that Vicki White may be disguised as an elderly woman in a gray wig.
Hunt said the more likely scenario is for Casey White to wear a hat to cover up her prison tattoos, which include two eyeballs on the back of his severed head and sunglasses. Vicki White may have changed the color of her previous bright blonde hair, he said, prompting the agency to spread mock photos of her with dark hair.

“We believe she has changed her appearance,” Hunt said.
U.S. marshals told The Post they were searching the Tennessee area, where Vicki White abandoned the escape car she used to help Casey White escape.
The 2007 orange Ford Edge was at the center of the search for the fugitives who went missing on April 29, but authorities did not know until Friday that the couple dumped the vehicle just hours after Vicki White drove away from Lauderdale County, Alabama. Casey White.

The car was found locked and abandoned off a country road in College Grove, Tennessee, about two hours north of the jail.
Hunt said the discovery of the car, which had been in tow for a week before officers assembled the pieces, was a “failure” that complicated the six- to seven-hour pre-launch that the fugitives received from law enforcement, but the agency did not discourages.

Hunt said they went door-to-door at College Grove looking for all sorts of videos from home or business security cameras that could show which direction they were heading after crashing into the car. Even a gaming camera placed in the surrounding forests could provide some clues, he said.
The sheriff of Williamson County, Tennessee, where the SUV was found, tweeted Friday that “there are no signs that the two are still in our area.”

Neither Hunt nor Keeley would say what evidence, if any, was found in the Ford Edge.
