Warriors vs. Grizzlies: Draymond Green is kicked out of Game 1 after committing a foul 2 on Brandon Clark

Draymond Green has tried to ban him from playing in the playoffs at the worst possible time. His scandalous elimination in Game 5 during the 2016 NBA Finals helped kick off Cleveland’s legendary 3-1 deficit return to win the championship. In the last incident, Green was expelled from the Golden State Warriors’ 1 win over the Memphis Grizzlies.

The game came at the end of the second quarter. Green was called for a foul when he pulled Grizzlies big man Brandon Clark by the shirt. In a repeat, he was called a rude foul-2 as “excessive and unnecessary.” Initially, Green punched Clark before pulling him down.

After the game, Green called the expulsion “something of a reputation” during an episode of his podcast, The Draymond Green Show.

“Very interesting,” Green said. “One thing about this foul is that I actually tried to keep it. Well, they didn’t tell me anything because I left the court, but the boys told me I was kicked out because I threw him, which is very interesting, because even once he hit the ground I was still holding his shirt. “

Green further explained his case:

“Obvious 2. I mean – unnecessary contact. I can’t say it was unnecessary because I was trying to stop him from making a bucket and getting one and one. So I can’t say it was unnecessary. Excessive – I didn’t even make contact with the human body, so overdoing it would be a bit extreme.

If a person flies from one leg, then you might say, “OK, he was in a dangerous position, he couldn’t defend himself, strikingly 2.” A person who jumps from two legs straight up and down, who then sells a foul and threw himself on the floor – it can not be said that he was in a dangerous position.

So I guess I’m trying to explain this screaming foul to you, your guess is as good as mine. By definition, if we go through the definition of an obvious foul 2, I’m not sure the game would be the definition of a gross foul. I’m not sure it will meet those criteria. “

As officers watched the replay of the video monitor, Grizzlies fans chanted “throw it away” to Green.

When Green realized he had been kicked out, he put on a big show on his way out, dancing and stirring the crowd as he left the stage.

Despite Green’s absence, the Warriors managed to get away with a dramatic victory thanks to Clay Thompson’s late 3-pointer and Ja Morant’s missed buzzer. But while they’re at it, the Warriors will need Green to stay on the floor for the rest of the playoffs.
